A warming, comforting, sweet and spicy drink perfect for the holidays.

Not a fan of peppermint, but still want a warming holiday drink? Then this is for you.
This gingerbread hot cocoa is both sweet and spicy. It contains simple ingredients and is quick to make.

This hot cocoa contains:
Non-dairy milk – Oat milk is my favorite, because it’s extra rich and creamy.
Brown sugar – you may sub other sugars or maple syrup.
Cocoa powder – Dutch-processed is my favorite.
Molasses – this is optional, but highly recommended if you want that traditional gingerbread flavor.
Spices – ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice .
Optional toppings – marshmallows and whipped cream.

To make this hot cocoa, whisk together all ingredients in a medium saucepan.
Adjust sweetness if needed.
Warm over medium-high.
Serve and top with marshmallows and whipped cream.
